Awesome! Helps kids understand their shyness

When we got the book in the mail the kids kept asking and asking me to read it to them. The cover art is really intriguing. (My kids are 2-7). As I read, they were captivated. When we were done we had an interesting conversation about being shy. They talked about different moments where the shy monster bullied them. It was cool because we talked about the difference between the shy monster's voice and other voices they feel...and how to distinguish. The same day we got the book, there were multiple moments throughout the day where they identified when the shy monster was present in them or in other people. "Look, she has a shy monster" they said as we watched a movie. What an awesome book! I also loved that the words rhymed. Made it fun to read.

Great Book!!!

The Shy Monster is a great book. I could relate to the character in the book. When I was younger I missed out on a lot of things that I wanted to do because I let my shyness get in the way. This is a great story that will help break the shy kids out of their shells.
